Look for the trail to expand into bass fishing in 2009.
Keitech Super Football Jig  Bismuth and Tungsten Lures
Going Lead-Free.  What does that mean ? I think many fishermen believe there is a hyper-sensitivity to lead-free lures in the non-fishing public.  Though, I think most would agree that lead in large amounts is not good for any lake or river.

Why did I initially switch to lead-free tackle ?  Functionality.  Lures made  of materials such as bismuth or tungsten are much harder than lead.  This makes the lures less prone to denting and becoming mis-shaped when fishing in rock and also creates more sound in the water.  Rattles are very popular for a big reason, they make sound.  Harder Lures make more sound and attract more fish.  Talk to anyone who has done diving around schools of fish... they will tell you that fish are definitely attracted to sound made in the water.  Tacklesmith offers more variety of alternative tackle than any other store that you will find.

Questions Answered
What is the difference between using lead and bismuth ?
Both materials are very close in density so using an 1/8oz jig
in bismuth is the same as using 1/8oz jig you would find at your
average store.  Bismuth is also a harder material and has the
 added benefit of being non-toxic.

Why tungsten ?  Is it really worth the extra couple dollars for a jig ?
Recent tournaments in 2008 have proven the value of tungsten.
Tungsten is much higher in density than lead.  This gives you
a lower profile lure that fish have a much easier time sucking
into their mouths.  Many anglers report that when using the
Keitech Model II Football jig  the smallmouth bass they catch
have the lure deep into their throat.  Tungsten lures also help
in fishing deep water and in high wind.  Want to cast farther  ?
There is no doubt tungsten will help you improve on long distance
 casting this fall.

Finesse BucktailFish FALL for Hair Jigs
What do you get when you combine a fly with a jig ? P.J.'s Finesse Bucktail Jigs. Popular with anglers years ago, now many fishermen are finding that hair jigs still catch fish and lots of 'em.  They are the perfect lure to use on those autumn days when the bass or walleye are finicky.  Tip with your favorite live bait, pork rind, or small soft plastic to put fish back in your boat.
